# Blasting

**Blasting** (formerly called Campaigns) lets you reach out to customers proactively instead of waiting for them to message you first — announcements, promos, product launches, and seasonal offers, delivered to everyone in one send.

Open **Blasting** in the left sidebar and pick a channel tab:

* **Live Chat** — trigger proactive messages on your website based on the page or visitor behaviour.
* **SMS** — send a one-off text message to a selected audience.
* **API** — drive sends programmatically through your API channel.
* **WhatsApp Business App and WhatsApp API (WABA)** — broadcast to customers on WhatsApp.

Click **Create blasting** to set up a new one: choose the inbox, write the message, pick the audience, and (where supported) attach media such as product photos, a brochure, or a price list.

Blast recipients don't count toward your plan's **Monthly Active Contacts** — only the recipients who reply do. See [Monthly Active Contacts](/settings/monthly-active-contacts).
