# Connecting Shopify

Connect your Shopify store once and your AI agent can look up orders, create orders from a chat, send tracking links and answer "where is my parcel" from live store data. Your store's products also come into your product catalogue, with their photos, variants and store links.

## Where to find it

Open **Flow Agents → AI Knowledge Hub**, choose the **Product** tile, then click **Data integration → Shopify store**. The **Shopify store** dialog opens.

Only administrators can connect, link, sync or disconnect a store. Other team members see *Only administrators can connect a store.*

## Connecting with your store domain

1. In the **Shopify store** dialog, enter your **Store domain** — for example *yourstore.myshopify.com*.
2. Click **Continue to Shopify**.
3. Approve the app on Shopify's screen in your Shopify admin.
4. You come back to Mampu AI with the message *Shopify store connected.* and the dialog shows your store.

There is no Shopify app of your own to create and no keys to paste. If a previous attempt wasn't finished, the dialog says so — click **Continue to Shopify** to start again.

## Linking from your Shopify admin

You can also start from Shopify:

1. In your Shopify admin, open the app and click **Link store**.
2. Mampu AI opens with **Link your Shopify store**. Under **Account**, choose the account the store belongs to.
3. Click **Link store**. You see *Shopify store linked.*

Orders and customer details from the account you choose are shared with the store, so only link a store you own. Each account can have one Shopify store, and a store can be linked to only one account.

Once linked, the app page in your Shopify admin shows which account the store is connected to, how many products are mirrored and when the catalogue last synced, with a **Sync catalogue now** button.

## What a connected store shows

When a store is connected, the **Shopify store** dialog shows:

* **Store** and **Storefront** — the store's name, domain and online store address.
* **Shopify plan**, **Currency** and **Connected** — when the store was connected.
* **Order updates** — whether order updates from the store are set up. If some could not be set up, click **Re-sync webhooks**.
* **Product catalogue** — how many products are mirrored and when, **Sync in progress…**, or **Last sync failed**.

## Syncing your catalogue

Your products are brought into the **Product** table when you connect. After that, product changes in Shopify come across as they happen, and the whole catalogue is refreshed every night. To refresh straight away, click **Sync catalogue now** — products appear in a minute or two.

Only products that are active in your store are synced. To see how Shopify products look in your catalogue and what a sync overwrites, see [Product catalogue and recommendations](/flow-agents/product-catalogue-and-recommendations#products-from-shopify).

## Using your own Shopify app instead

A store that already runs on a Shopify app of its own keeps working with it:

1. In the **Shopify store** dialog, click **Use your own Shopify app instead**.
2. The dialog lists what to set up in your app first: the URL to add under **Allowed redirection URLs**, the address for the app's compliance webhooks, and the access it needs (customers, orders, fulfillments, products and inventory).
3. Enter your **Store domain**, **Client ID** and **Client secret**. The client secret is stored encrypted and never shown again.
4. Click **Continue to Shopify** and approve.

## Order details kept for your chats

For each order from your store, Mampu AI keeps only what your AI agent uses in a chat:

* the order number, when it was placed and whether it was cancelled;
* the payment and fulfilment status;
* the total and currency, and the items ordered;
* tracking — the tracking number, link and carrier — and the parcel's delivery status;
* the customer's name, phone number and email, so the order can be matched to the contact in the chat.

Addresses, the customer's full Shopify profile and browser details are not stored.

## Disconnecting

1. Open the **Shopify store** dialog and click **Disconnect**.
2. Confirm with **Yes, disconnect**.

Disconnecting removes the order history mirrored from the store. Products already in your catalogue stay, as ordinary products you can edit or delete. A store that removes the app in Shopify is disconnected too.
